Maura and Javier chose this location in lower Manhattan for their engagement shoot for the uniqueness in landscapes that it offered ~ a sense of the Irish countryside which would be a tribute to the bride-to-be’s heritage, and a peak into the best skyline in the world {Ok, I may be a little partial on that one}. The Irish Hunger Memorial is such a magical little spot with a path that meanders through tribute walls and an authentic Irish cottage, up a grassy hill where you’ll notice the counties of Ireland carved into rocks, to the top where you’ll spot the World Trade Center and Lady Liberty among other NYC landmarks. I loved how Maura incorporated a touch of their wedding colors into the shoot and I can’t get over those gorgeous blue eyes of hers. And that Javier, what a handsome guy… You would never know that it was freezing cold throughout their shoot! Maura and Javier, this was such a great afternoon and I cannot wait to shoot your wedding next October!
