Last summer, I had the pleasure of photographing this intimate Lake Placid Wedding. Brittany and Dan are friends of ours so it was a special honor to be the only non-immediate family member there! They chose to rent a secluded camp right on the gorgeous lake for the week. They set their wedding for a Tuesday afternoon and ironically enough, the weather was brilliant all week except for the major storm that ripped through on their wedding day. Thank goodness they are both so laid back and were able to roll with the punches. Their vision of holding the ceremony on the deck above the boathouse moved to the covered porch where we still had views of the shimmering lake. And you know what, the rain really added an element of romance and coziness to the whole day! Even still, we were all VERY happy for the couple of breaks in the storm that allowed for gorgeous photo opportunities by the lake. After the ceremony, officiated by the Groom’s brother, and delicious meal provided by Solitude Catering, this crew partied not only into the night but well into the week! Thank you again to Brittany + Dan for inviting me to capture such a fun and intimate day! xo!
