Poughkeepsie Grandview Wedding | Amber + Matt

I had been looking forward to Amber and Matt’s wedding at the Poughkeepsie Grandview ever since I first met and photographed them last year. They are beautiful, inside and out, and along with their families, they have been so welcoming to me. There were so many happy tears on their wedding day – both bride and groom, their guests, and even I found myself blinking back tears!

Amber and Matt both attended the University of Albany and met during their sophomore year.  Most of their best friends went there as well, and were honored guests as part of the couple’s wedding party.  They were fun and energetic and truly excited to be a part of Amber and Matt’s day.  Both Matt and Amber have wonderful families who were present as well. In fact, Amber is one of three girls and Matt is one of three boys, so each of them gained new siblings through their marriage too!

Amber and Matt snuck away from their reception for a few minutes to enjoy some time alone as new husband and wife.  They ended up on the Grandview’s lawn, slow dancing as the sun set behind them. The moment felt truly magical as they were surrounded with golden light. These are the moments photographers live for!
