As you wind down Route 121, it might be easy to miss Bedford Post Inn. The small stone gates nearly blend into the verdant forests surrounding the retreat center. This is merely part of the charm. Though the inn is only an hour from the city that never sleeps, you will feel as though you are a world away. Horses graze in the fields, while private yoga sessions are held in the wellness center.

The inn itself has changed quite a bit since it was first built in 1762, gaining a number of fascinating stories along the way. Still, it feels as though a land untouched by the rush of today’s world. Your celebration will be the next chapter in a rich legacy!

Details of the Grounds

Bedford Post Inn invites you to spend your entire wedding weekend relaxing on its 20 acres. If you decide to stay here, your morning will start out in one of the 8 luxury guest suites where you can get ready with your closest friends. 

The inn gives you the most idyllic spot for your outdoor wedding. You will exchange your vows in the private fields with the forest just beyond your altar. Once you have walked back down the grassy trail, your guests will be free to head back to the inn’s courtyard, where they can enjoy a cocktail reception beneath the bistro lights. For dinner, your guests can head inside the quaint dining room with enough space for up to 100 people. You can spend some time enjoying conversations and laughter before you head back outside to the stone-paved patio for an evening of dancing underneath the stars. 

Photography Opportunities

The landscape of the inn gives you a number of gorgeous spots for your photo session. The exterior of the Wellness Center offers a landscape with vibrant perennials and a pool. You can get group shots in front of the hedges or head over to the stone pergola, where you can sneak a kiss with your beloved. The rock walls and the covered stone steps will also serve as a romantic backdrop!
