The images we document together are my gift to you. In between the morning sickness and late night jitters, these photos document the beauty and romance of growing a baby. These nine months may feel like forever but once your precious baby is here and grown, I promise you’ll be so grateful you captured this time.
When you work with me, I want your session to be as stress-free as possible. I’ll prepare you with a guide on what to expect, wardrobe tips, how to get your home ready and so much more. Our time together doesn’t end with the last click of my shutter - after the session, I’ll guide you through the process of turning those digital files into printed goods to display around your home.

The Process
Before your maternity session, through a series of phone calls and emails, I’ll get to know you and your growing family better. You'll also receive a guide that will walk you through everything from wardrobe to choosing a location. The guide is based on a decade of experience and typically answers any questions that come up.
It's best to schedule maternity photo sessions at 32-36 weeks pregnant. Sessions take place in your home or in one of my preferred outdoor locations. They are typically scheduled for mid-morning or 1 hour before sunset.
Three weeks after your session is when it all comes together with your gallery delivery. Maybe the photos are exactly what you hoped for. Or more likely, they’re beyond what you envisioned! From here, you can download and share your digital images.
Now is the time to create a permanent place for your maternity photos to live in your home. Through an intuitive and seamless gallery, you’re able to choose custom printed goods. These are heirlooms that will truly stand the test of time and I'll be there to guide you through the process.

At Home Sessions include up to 2 hours of photography in your home and yard, a private online gallery housing your 50 beautifully edited digital high-resolution images,
and a pre-session guide.
Outdoor Sessions include 30 minutes of photography in one of my preferred locations, a private online gallery housing your 25 beautifully edited digital high-resolution images, and a pre-session guide.
frequently asked questions
WHERE & WHEN DO maternity SESSIONS TAKE PLACE?
All maternity photo sessions take place on weekdays. At-Home sessions are scheduled for mid-morning and take place in your house and yard. Outdoor sessions are scheduled for mid-morning or in the evening before sunset. Sessions take place in one of my preferred locations. I find that the best time to photograph expecting moms is around 32-36 weeks.

Please don’t worry that your house has to be Pinterest-worthy. I’m not seeking perfection - I’m here for the beauty in the mundane, the magic in the ordinary. As long as you have at least one window with natural light and a house full of love, we will create beautiful photos together.

What about siblings?
Siblings, dads and even pets are always welcomed to maternity sessions. I typically do photos that include dad, siblings and pets first so they can run off while we spend time on just mom.

SUGGESTIONS FOR MY PARTNER WHO IS RELUCTANT TO HAVING THEIR PHOTO TAKEN?
Leave them out! JK, but not really… You can come alone or tell your partner they only need to be in a handful of photos and can then go for a walk. I work with just mamas all the time - give this gift of photos to yourself! It will be an experience you will cherish today and treasure years from now. Please do not include partners who wish not to be present.
