Westchester, NY Maternity Photography | Taylor + Zach

I recently read that Spring is like the Earth giving birth. How perfectly poetic is that? It completely makes sense and also explains why it’s becoming my favorite season for maternity photography sessions! With it’s soft light and little buds bursting, Spring is the perfect backdrop for an expecting mama. Taylor and her husband, Zachary, are eagerly awaiting their first baby (a boy!) any day now. Even though Taylor has described her pregnancy as being very difficult, you’d never know it given her stunning glow. Or by how calm she was and peaceful she remained during her maternity photography session. Before the session, I spoke to Taylor about why she felt it was important to have this special time documented:

“I want pictures that capture the feeling between my husband and I, as well as the excitement and love we feel towards our son and becoming parents.”

She wished for an heirloom that would always remind them of this incredibly exciting time in their lives. Simply put, she hoped for photos that would naturally capture the love between her, Zach, and their growing boy.  And from my side of the camera, I witnessed something so endearing and genuine about these soon-to-be parents that I know they have received just that.
